I do like the beginning of this Mac Miller’s album “Watching Movies with the Sound Off”. After Blue Slide Park, I was ready for something more experimental. His previous album, in opinion, while creative, was your typical upbeat hip hop album. I thought it was a great second album, however, I was interested to see what Mac Miller really had to offer.
Listening to the first few songs of his third album, I am already intrigued and happy to listen to the remainder of the album. The music sounds more experimental and original. It doesn’t carry your typical beats featured in his first couple albums. It honestly almost sounds more like a mix tape. I love the instrumentals that Mac takes advantage of, even some sitars! Great way to legitimize his name, some very original music. I highly recommend the album to anyone looking for some good experimental rap.
